VIDEO: Plummer's Cows a Humphrey House Highlight

The annual tour of the John Humphrey House on July 4 included a look at a cleaned and restored painting by 19th century artist William Henry Plummer. The painting is of cows in a Swampscott marsh.

Once a year, on July 4, the John Humphrey House doors open for the public to tour the historic house, led by local historian Lou Gallo.

One of its many Swampscott related objects is a painting by William Henry Plummer.

The name of the painting is cows on Atlantic Avenue, and it is a prized possession of the house.
