Unlike many of the cast members in , Lautner did not appear in the first movie, Grown Ups.

In the sequel he will play the role of , according to actor Milo Ventimiglia.

Lautner was in Swampscott, MA on Friday, July 6, and posed for numerous photos with fans.

Actors were shooting at a home on Aspen Road.

Lots of parents and children and teens and neighbors were among the crowd of onlookers watching the action from the sidewalk and lawns.

Among them was Tracy Cassidy with her son and a friend of his.

She said Lautner was outgoing and accommodating to his fans.

"Taylor was very kind (to) the fans!  Thank you Taylor!
Peter (Dante), as usual, super friendly! We had a blast!," Tracy said in an email tht accompanied photos from the set.

Clusters of teens gathered around the edges of the set both on Friday and Thursday night at Littles Point Road. Many of them waited for hours and were hoping for a chance to meet Lautner.

Lautner, 20, is originally from Michigan, a suburb of Grand Rapids.

Later, at the age of 10, he moved with his family to California where he furthered his career as an entertainer, according to Wikipedia.

Lautner had televison and film roles and was in advertisements and commercials.

He has studied dance and martial arts.

His breakout role, the one that propelled him to teen idol status was his character in the Twilight series.

He portrays Jacob Black.

Lautner lives with his mom and dad and younger sister in Valencia, California.
