The build-up was big for Blizzard 2013. And it wasn't just hype.

We were delivered a classic nor'easter. Cold air. Astronomically high tides. Two low pressure systems exploded off the southern New England coast. We saw shades of the Blizzard of '78 but thanks to improvements in warning systems, communications and equipment the Cblizzard of 2013 did not whallop us liek its predecessor.
