Seven Swampscott Students Tour Sunny Spain

The students soaked up local color and culture on the visit during April vacation.

Seven Swampscott High students spent April vacation touring throughout Spain visiting several famous historical and cultural sites in Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Sevilla, Granada and later enjoying a final day of relaxation on the Costa del Sol.

Some of the highlights of the trip included a flamenco lesson in Granada, followed by dinner and a flamenco show in a Gypsy cave, an evening of tapas hopping, Spanish style, in Madrid and visits to Ronda and Mijas. two of the most well known "pueblos blancos" in Andalucia.

Students are eager to return to Spain and several are already planning to spend a semester studying abroad.
