This weekend is packed with live music on the North Shore and a whole bunch of bands playing a wide variety of music genres, from folk and jazz to classic rock to blues and soul, can be seen for free at rock clubs and restaurants throughout the region.

Master guitarist, singer, songwriter Raymond Gonzalez will perform a holiday guitar concert at the Church of the Holy Name on Saturday. Dec. 8.

He'll play songs from his latest release "Carols," a collection of Olde English and Renaissance Christmas songs as well as some original tunes.

The music starts at 7 pm. The church is located at 60 Monument Avenue, Swampscott.

Roxanne & The Voodoo Rockers wiil be playing the Red Rock Bar & Bistro on Friday, Dec. 7. Roxanne & the Voodoo Rockers is "New England's latest up and coming blues band. Their music is a blend of electric blues, R&B and swing, held together with their own touch of magic. The band is based in the Southern New Hampshire, USA and typically performs in venues throughout the New England area."

All shows begin at 9 p.m. unless specified.
