Live From New York, Manhattan in Marblehead is Back!

The JCC’s popular series Manhattan in Marblehead is back with an impressive line-up of speakers, live in New York City and simulcast here at the J.  These are interactive programs – people in the Marblehead audience can ask the speakers questions and hear the answers live!

The J debuted the program last year with Steve Martin, Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten, Moneyball author Michael Lewis and Seinfeld creator Larry David. The series is a partnership with the famous 92nd St YMHA in New York City. 

“Manhattan in Marblehead is an important cultural program we’re very proud to offer here at the J,” said Executive Director Bob Verdun.  “To hear from world leaders, entertainers and entrepreneurs without even leaving town is a gift we’re excited to bring to our community again.”

Up first: Walter Isaacson – former chairman of CNN and managing editor of Time Magazine – will talk about his new best-selling biography of Apple founder Steve Jobs.  Isaacson looks at Jobs for important lessons about innovation, character, leadership and values. Tuesday, Jan 24, 8 pm.

Other upcoming events:

Entertainer Mandy Patinkin, Monday, Feb. 6, 8 pm:  Patinkin will talk about his career in theater, film, television and recordings.

Emmy award winner Alan Alda, Thursday, April 5, 8 pm: Alda will talk with Nobel Prize winner Eric Kandel about the connections between Science & Art.
