Lautner to Have Frat Brother Role In Swampscott's Grown Ups 2

The Twilight actor is one of more than a dozen celebrities in the Adam Sandler comedy.

 

It remains to be seen whether Twilight star and Grown Ups 2 actor Taylor Lautner will make an appearance at Swampscott’s this summer.

But actor Milo Ventimiglia told MTV that he and Lautner will play fraternity brothers in Grown Ups 2.

that its exterior will serve as a college fraternity house in a scene slated to be shot in mid-July.

The stately building — once the summer White House for President Calvin Coolidge — is pegged for a less dignified use in Grown Ups 2.

The fraternity house will come under graffiti attack in a battle of the townies vs the college kids, a movie representative told Marian, according to a college spokeswoman.

Meanwhile, after a week that saw filming in Swampscott at , and , filming has shifted to Marblehead for several days.

Adam Sandler and cast members were shooting scenes at Gatchell Park in Marblehead on Friday.

Last Monday, Chris Rock, a returning cast member from the original Grown Ups movie, was on the set at Magnolia Road.

Adam Sandler, Peter Dante and Alexander Ludwig, of The Hunger Games, were at the Swampscott Middle School on Tuesday.

Disney child actors China Anne McClain and Cameron Boyce were also in Swampscott. On Wednesday they were mobbed by youngsters near a bus stop shoot across from the Grown Ups 2 base camp on Humphrey Street.

The base is at the former Temple Israel property, now owned by the town.

From Monday June 11 to Wednesday June 13, parts of Washington Street may be closed down while the Old Town House is turned into an aerobics studio for a scene with Salma Hayek and the shopping scene is filmed.

  • Old Town House - Monday, June 11: From 5 p.m. on Sunday June 10 to 9 p.m. on June 11, no parking will be allowed on Washington Street on the southeast side from State Street to the entrance to Crosby's Marketplace. No parking around the Old Town House and no parking on Pleasant Street from Washington Street to 29 Pleasant St. 
  • Washington Street - Wednesday June 13: From 5 p.m. on Monday June 11 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday June 13, no parking will be allowed on Pleasant Street on either side from Watson Street to Pleasant Court. No parking on Rockaway Street on the northerly side and all public spots adjacent to the Lee Mansion. No parking on Washington Street from Hooper Street to Mason Street. No parking on Washington Street from Darling Street to Hooper Street. No parking on Washington Street from Crosby's to State Street.
