Whole Foods Market to Showcase More than Two Dozen Vendors Featuring Environmentally-Friendly Products

What:    The 19th annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest will return to DCR’s Hatch Memorial Shell in Boston on May 19, 2012 with a stellar line-up that includes: Third Eye Blind, The Spin Doctors, Switchfoot, Eve 6 and local band Twin Berlin. Presented by Whole Foods Market, the family-friendly festival is the largest free radio station concert in the country, showcasing national and local music acts, environmentally friendly products and local non-profit environmental organizations.

The Whole Food Market Vendor Village will once again be a highlight of the festival, with more than two dozen individual vendors showcasing earth-friendly products and providing samples for individuals to try at home.  Whole Foods Market will also sponsor music and activities in Kids’ Planet, an interactive area designed specifically with families in mind.    

Throughout the festival, there will be exhibits and environmental displays focused on raising awareness and
offering educational information about different environmental issues facing the planet. Some of the highlights will include a Hybrid Bus Display from The MBTA, a free Bike Valet offered by MassBike, and The Eco-Pavilion, where dozens of local environmental groups and agencies will be onsite and offering information to attendees.  Casella Waste Systems will implement an extensive recycling program on site, ensuring  minimal impact on the environment.
