2. Volunteer At Upper Softball Field
Where/When: , Saturday.

3. Ice Cream
Where/When: and for two places. Any time.
Why Go: They are open.
Pricing: Depends. One scoop or two.
4. Handel's Messiah
Where/When: Old North Church, 35 Washington St., Marblehead/ Sunday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: It's music, a chorale presentation.
Pricing: Free-will offering.
5. Watch the Boston Marathon
Where/When: It starts in Hopkinton and ends in Copley Square on Monday. Different race categories. They start at 9 a.m. The elite runners start at about 10 a.m.
Why Go: It's a New England tradition, a grand human spectacle, and there are more than a dozen Swampscott runners in it.
