5 Things To Do This Weekend

Trade cabin fever for spring fever and get out and about this weekend cause there's lots to do.

Students can bask under black lights and walk to the music at the Neon Glowstick Dance at the high school on Friday.

Also at the high school, on Sunday, the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra will stir a range of musical feelings as they perform their spring concert.

Middle school students will perform a whimsical musical on Friday and Saturday, twice on Saturday.

The spring sports season is underway at the high school so consider rooting on the Big Blue.

We Patch people think high school sporting events offer great entertainment.

If all else fails, we recommend a walk. It does wonders for the body and mind.

1. Schoolwide High School Neon Glowstick Dance

Where/When: Friday night from 7:30-10:30.

Why Go: This is the seniors'  last high school dance.

Pricing: We think it is $7 and includes glowsticks.

2. Seussical, Jr.

Where/When: , Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Why Go: To see the kids sing and dance and cheer them on.

Pricing: $10

3. Big Blue Lacrosse

Where/When: On Saturday theplay at North Reading High at 10 a.m. and theplay at Manchester/Essex High at 7 p.m.

Why Go:  The game is fun to watch. It is both like and unlike other games.

Pricing: Free.

4. Spring Concert

Where/When: Sunday at 3 p.m.  

Why Go: It's the season finale, and music gives pleasure.

Pricing: $20, $15 for senior citizens.

5. A Walk On The Beach

Where/When: Take your pick and pick your time.

Why Go: Parking is free. The air will clear your head and warm your feet.
