VIDEO: Border Collie Mix Looking for Her Match

Jasmine is currently at Northeast Animal Shelter waiting for her forever home.

Jasmine is an energetic pup waiting to find her forever home.

Communications Director Steve Oakes said the 10-month-old female border collie mix would be perfect in a household that can provide both physical and mental stimulation.

"Border collies ... are bred to herd sheep," Oakes said, adding that the dogs are not a great match "for someone who is away from home much of the day."

If border collies are not provided with opportunities to excercise, they can become "bored and destructive," Oakes explained.

Oakes described Jasmine as "very cute ... very sweet and very fun."
