Thousands turned out in the early morning Saturday hours to be featured in a Sports Illustrated cover photo depicting “Boston Strong” which hits newsstands April 16.

Organizers estimated more than 3,000 people from across the area attended the photo shoot Saturday morning, along with Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Police Commissioner William Evans first responders, emergency workers and survivors all impacted by the 2013 Boston marathon bombing which killed three people and injured more than 200.

“Thanks to all who turned out for today’s Sports Illustrated cover shoot. We are all #BostonStrong!!!!” Boston Police tweeted out Saturday night.

Srpska, You're correct. BOSTON STRONG was cooked up by a PR firm. It's another example of a mob patting themselves on their backs for emoting. The terrorists are not defeated by displays of self congratulation and empty bluster.

Yeah well only ignorant people try to incite trouble when the forum is about disgusing a tragedy and paying tribute to it. They should remove more than just your comment.

They should have removed the bombers from this country! Now they should remove the politicians that allowed them and supported them!
