Swampscott Student Awarded Scholarship

Shaun Brown, a junior at Ithaca College, received the scholarship from the Massachusetts Organization of State Engineers and Scientists.

The Massachusetts Organization of State Engineers and Scientists (M.O.S.E.S.) awarded Swampscott resident Shaun Brown, son of members Anne and Myles Brown, both with the Department of Environmental Protection, the Paul Prentiss Memorial Scholarship at its recent monthly meeting.  

Shaun is a junior at Ithaca College majoring in Integrated Business Communications.

M.O.S.E.S. is a 3,500-member organization of technical, engineering and scientific professionals dedicated to serving the Commonwealth in the areas of environmental protection, public health, public safety, occupational health and safety, as well as transportation, to name a few.  

Its Goodwill committee allocates and distributes more than $12,500 annually to support the advanced education of its members and their immediate families.
