Sign-up night for Swampscott's Cub Scout Pack 55 is Thursday, Sept. 15, from 6-8 pm at First Church (40 Monument Ave).
The annual membership cost is $85. The season kicks off with a rocket launch, a birds of prey show and a bike-safety program.

Cub Scouting is for boys ages 6-10 years old interested in hiking, camping, crafts (rocket building & launch, Pinewood Derby car building & race, etc.), sports and community service.
All scouting activities focus on developing character, citizenship and physical fitness.
