Little League Profile: The Major White Sox

The Major League White Sox look to keep the momentum going into the 2011 baseball season's playoffs.

The White Sox lead the Swampscott Majors with a strong 10-3 record on the
season.

In the last seven games the White Sox are 6-1. 

They beat the Nahant Red Sox 6-4 and lost to the Yankees 4-2 in their
two most recent contests.

Dan Muller is 5-0 on the mound. Stephen Hopkins and Bret Benoit are both batting over .400 and Ryan Donnelly is hitting .342 with Jordan Cox at .333.

Manager Rob Hopkins is hoping to keep his starting pitchers rolling along as the season winds down.

Hopkins turns to Dan Muller, Ryan Donnelly and Jordan Cox to get the job done on the mound.

The White Sox are in action tonight at 5:30 against the Nahant Orioles, and play the Indians Wednesday and Thursday night back-to-back, at 5:30 and 7:30, respectively. 

The Team: Manager Robert Hopkins, coaches Dan Santanello, Joe Marshall and Rick Donnelly. Players include Brendan Bradley, John Currie, Alec Kluzsa, Trevor Donahue, Luke Marshall, Jordan Cox, Steven Santanello, Bret Benoit, Dan Muller, Ryan Donnelly and Stephen Hopkins.

The regular season ends this Saturday. Then comes the playoffs.

"We've got eleven boys who have all proven to be tough outs and we've received contributions from all of them throughout the season," the coach said, looking ahead to the post-season.
