Flash Flood Watch Through 6 p.m. July 11 For Swampscott

The main threat of rain and thunderstorms is for this afternoon but there could be some rain and thunderstorms earlier in the day, as well.



The National Weather Service advises Swampscott and other parts of the state to watch for possible flash floods until 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11.

The weather forecast for July 11, calls for showers and thunderstorms mainly between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. though there could be some stormy weather earlier in the day. The storms could produce heavy rain.

Any thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall and pockets of flooding.

If more than one band of rain and thunderstorms move through an area around the same time rainfall of three inches or more is possible.
