Blue Football Thanks VFW Post 1240

The Pine Street hall opened its doors to the players for their last team dinner of the season.

The Big Blue Football team would like to acknowledge the generosity of the 1240 for hosting the last team dinner of the season.

Commander John Sacherski was thrilled to have the boys!  

He generously donated the space and was extremely hospitable.

The players' parents were grateful, too.

The team dinners are usually served at a player's home.

But that was difficult Nov. 23, since many homes were preparing for Thanksgiving.

The team ate its traditional fare at the VFW hall — including chicken and brocolli, and red sauce, pasta and meatballs.

And the veterans made them feel at home.
