A Horribles Swampscott Tradition

Rain or shine, The Shaw Improvement Association will once again be sponsoring the annual Shaw Estate 4th of July Horribles Parade, now in its 70th year!

The parade is open to residents who live on the streets to the left and right of Forest Avenue, which was once part of the Shaw Estate.

Participants should arrive promptly at 9:15 AM on the corner of Aspen and Arbutus Road for judging.  

The parade starts at 9:30 AM and will be led by a Swampscott Police Car and Fire Truck down Aspen Rd., across Forest Ave. and around Lexington Circle. Categories include horribles, bikes/trikes, rollerblades/scooters/boards, doll carriages, pets and floats.

Refreshments, prizes and awards will be given to ALL participants at the end.
