5 Things to do This Weekend
Lots of things to do this weekend in and around Swampscott, see old friends, get out and burn off a few calories on a unique sign-to-sign walk to each corner of the community.
1. Friday night the Class of 20th Reunion catches you up with old friends and classmates at the Salem Waterfront Hotel at 7 p.m.
2. Not to be outdone, the Class of holds their 30th reunion Saturday night at the Salem Waterfront Hotel. Also at 7 p.m.

3. The “Stretch” basketball benefit tournament takes place Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the high school.
4. Burn off that last helping of cranberry sauce with a class at the YMCA Sunday morning at 9 a.m.

5. If you’d like to start burning off the calories slower than by Latin dancing, hit the roads in beautiful Swampscott and go on the “Walk From Sign to Sign.”
Start at King’s Beach at the Entering Swampscott sign, walk to the Entering Swampscott sign at Preston Beach, walk to the Entering Swampscott sign in Vinnin Square, head off to the Entering Swampscott sign next to the Swampscott Cemetery, then on to the Entering sign on Essex Street, and finish back where you started, at the Entering Swampscott sign at King’s Beach.
It’s a great way to stay fit and see all the corners of our beautiful community.
