5 Things Including Swampscott's New National Historic Designation

The National Register of Historic Places vote came on Wednesday in Boston.

 

1) Newsbit of the Day: Swampscott historian Louie Gallo reported that the Swampscott Cemetery and Andrews Chapel were unanimously voted to be included on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission voted for the designation on Wednesday at a public hearing at the State Archives Building in Boston. 

2) Swampscott Scholars:  Class of 2012 graduate Lindsey Ly was awarded the Bertrand G. Roger Memorial Scholarship.
