5 Things Including Santa

The 6th annual Breakfast With Santa this past weekend raised over $900 for Toys for Local Children.

1) Newsbit of the Day: The 6th annual Breakfast With Santa this past weekend raised over $900 for Toys for Local Children. Sponsored by Danielle Strauss and the Swampscott Recreation Department the event was a great success, said Abby Rogers, a volunteer with Toys For Local Children.  The event took place at the Swampscott Senior Center and brought people of all ages together to visit with Santa, create many fun holiday crafts, and enjoy a continental breakfast.  Local businesses donated the food.  This event has become a wonderful tradition and is made possible by faithful adult and student community volunteers. 

2) Swampscott Scholars:  Class of 2012 graduate Kristal Morfa received the Dr. Harry Portman Scholarship.   

3) A bit of Redd (Foxx):  Hey! Leave the door open will ya?  The flies haven’t been out all day.
