3 VIDEOS: Ted Filming Set For Wednesday Night in Swampscott

Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis star in "Ted" set for release in 2012 about a man and his teddy bear, filming scenes tonight on Atlantic Avenue.

Mila Kunis plays Lori and Mark Wahlberg plays John in “Ted”, a movie about a man whose childhood teddy bear comes to life threatening his current day relationships.

The movie is the first full-length feature film directed by Seth MacFarlane of “Family Guy” fame. The movie also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Jessica Stroup and Joel McHale.

Some scenes from the film, slated for release in 2012, will be filmed at a home on Atlantic Avenue, right next to the entrance to Preston Beach, across the street from Beach Bluff Avenue.

The two leads have both had an interesting 2011, in addition to the thrill of being in Swampscott to shoot scenes from a movie. Kunis’s co-star in Black Swan, Natalie Portman took home an Oscar, and Christian Bale received a golden statue for his role in The Fighter, which was produced by Wahlberg.

Several people were milling about on Atlantic Avenue on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, but there were no celebrities in sight.

Andy Gilbert was there, from Tribe Road Catering, getting the food ready for the cast and crew who will be there tonight, shooting interior scenes for the movie which is being produced by Universal Studios.

“We’ll be serving smoked New York strip sirloin, grilled chicken breast and baked scrod tonight,” Gilbert said. “We’ve got a little bit of everything for the cast and crew.”

The movie has a budget of 38 million dollars and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 13, 2012.

Filming is expected to last two days in Swampscott, so head over tonight to if you want to see a movie star or two.

The movie was written by MacFarlane and Alec Sulkin, who also works on Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and American Dad.

MacFarlane, who was recently the master of ceremonies on the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump, is expected to arrive on set at at 5 p.m., according to a crew member.
