NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. (EST), the Friends of Swampscott Athletic Fields ("FSAF") will hold a public meeting at Blocksidge Field, Phillips Park, Humphrey Street, Swampscott, Massachusetts, regarding a proposal to renovate Blocksidge Field by replacing its natural grass field with a wider, multi-sport, artificial turf field.  The meeting will also discuss Swampscott's submission of a Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) Grant applicatioin with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs seeking financial assistance for the project.  Public parking is available in the adjacent parking lot and public transportation is available by taking the MBTA Bus Routes #442 and #449.  If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to provide comments, you can do so by e-mail to tyounger@town.swampscott.ma.us or urbanocj@yahoo.com, or by first-class mail to Office of the Town Administrator, Attn:  Mr. Thomas G.
