Join the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn (UUCGL) in celebrating Christmas Eve at their Candlelight Service at 5:30 pm, December 24.
The Service will feature interfaith readings such as “The Christmas Story” from the Bible, Luke 2:1-20 and “The Birth of Jesus” from the Quran 19:22-23. In addition there will be a reading of “’Twas the night before Christmas” written by Unitarian Clement C. Moore.
They’ll have traditional sing along Christmas carols as well as some special pieces of music – a 12th-century chant written by Hildegard of Bingen, performed by soprano soloist and UUCGL choral scholar, Barbara Hill Meyers, and a 16th-century anthem by Tomas Luis de Victoria, one of the great Spanish composers of the Renaissance.
After the service, please join them for cookies and good cheer in the Parish Hall. Adults, families and children are welcome.
