Freshmen will have the high school to themselves today and all students are scheduled to report on Wednesday. Among the students walking through the school's doors this week will be 35 more students than expected, said Principal Layne Millington. There are 16 new upperclassmen and 19 new freshmen, he said last week. "So my numbers are growing," he said. The principal will not have a final tally on the enrollment until school starts. The last day of school has faded out of the rearview mirror and it’s time to head back to the classroom for the 2011-2012 school year, and most of the kids surveyed have mixed emotions about heading back to school. “I’m happy to see my friends, but the summer could be a little bit longer,” Alden Freddo said.
