The day before Thanksgiving break, SHS had a school-wide Community Service Day, and this year Hope For Creativity hosted one of the workshops. We had a lot of kids be a part of our Bead Brigade and within an hour and a half they beaded 1,500 pins! All of the pins will be turned into bracelets and be sold at the SHS holiday fair this Sunday from 10-3. The money made from selling the bracelets will be used in the next month to buy supplies for an order of 98 art packs we’re bringing to a shelter in Worcester in mid December
It was really great to see not only my friends being supportive and wanting to be involved, but a lot of other kids who were really enthusiastic about the day.
I'm looking definitely forward to Community Service Day next year! :)
