The Black and Blue wrestling team will hit the mat for their first home meet of the season tonight at 6 pm at Swampscott High School.

Wrestling supporters will raffle coupons to establishments including Yans Bistro and Hot Cheese Pizza at the home opener.

Coach Mike Stamison and his staff have been hammering away at the basics, arm bar defense and better body positioning as they prepare the grapplers for the rigorous wrestling season.

"We are well conditioned, but also have to be fundamentally sound, and that's what we are going to work on before the holiday break," the coach said.
