What Would You Open at Vinnin Square?
This empty storefront at Vinnin Squre is ready for a new tenant. What kind of business would you like to see move in?
This commercial space, located next to Panera Bread at Vinnin Square, is currently looking for a new tenant.
As part of our Visions for Vacancies column, we want to know - what kind of business do you think should move in at this location?
Have you been hoping for a certain kind of business to come to town? Is there something you think would thrive in this section of Swampscott?

I'm with you a.r.!!! Of course, I don't think that's likely so my next vote would be for the yarn shop; and please, no Michaels or AC Moore...a real, honest to goodness local yarn shop.

Marijuana dispensary. All the other towns are so quick to ban them - why don't WE get a piece of that action; why don't WE something unique for a change; why don't WE have a reason to stop here instead of just drive through. Have a full time detail cop as part of the deal. What is everyone so afraid of?

How about a popular store like Bath and Bodyworks or American Eagle or Pink? Anyone of those would bring in customers.

A BBQ place! There's a serious lack of BBQ places on the North Shore.

a unique tea shoppe - a unique toy shoppe - a unique italiano cafe - a unique clay studio (pottery etc) - anything but the unique pot palace to put this town on the map

Nothing unique here: a unique tea shoppe ALREADY EXISTS IN SALEM - a unique toy shoppe ALREADY EXISTS IN MHEAD AND SALEM - a unique italiano cafe ALREADY EXISTS IN MHEAD AND SALEM AND SWAMPY - a unique clay studio (pottery etc) ALREADY EXISTS IN LYNN AND BEVERLY - anything but the unique pot palace to put this town on the map

Before we are so quick to put someone in there...we need to address other vacant spaces. Why has the General Glover been vacant for 15+ years? Anyone really believe that City Grill is under renovations? That being said...a nice butchery would be welcome...and I think a pot shop is a GREAT idea Whisky!

I believe the Glover is still vacant because it's still owned by the Athanoses who, for whatever reason, don't wish to sell it.
