Was Sandy as Bad as Irene?

How does Sandy compare?

Much of the Northeastern United States slowed down on Monday to watch Hurricane Sandy make its way up the coast toward its eventual landfall on New England.

Throughout the day, residents of Swampscott and elsewhere endured high winds and power outages and in some cases, downed trees and wires.

The storm came more than a year after Irene left many Massachusetts communities without power. So which storm do you think was worse – Sandy or Irene?

We were lucky, both times as the heaviest bands moved inland. Should this one had tracked further north effects would had been much worse than Irene as it came straight in off the Atlantic. Next year, let's just say Swampscott heads the warning and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4CsCuMcSPs Hopefully our local gov. gets it's priorities straight and quick.
