VIDEO RERUN: Swampscott Man Running For Mom and Mother-in-law
Michael Falco will join thousands of runners striding over the Boston Marathon course April 18. He'll be running to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Marathon Challenge.
This was the first in a series of articles and videos on Swampscott runners who will run the Boston Marathon. It originally ran in March.
Michael Falco is a runner and has run several marathons in the past.
This winter, though, he has been training for Boston, a grueling and exhilarating marathon steeped in history.
Boston has significance for him but the larger significance is why he is running — to honor his mom, who passed away from cancer in 2010, and his mother-in-law, who is battling cancer.
He'll also be running to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Marathon Challenge.
