Papers Deadline Today: 6 Interested in Selectmen Seats
The Town Clerk's Office will remain open until 5 p.m. for those who want to pull nomination papers.
So far, six potential candidates have pulled nomination papers for the Board of Selectmen and three for School Committee elections.
Both the Board of Selectmen and the School Committee have two openings, each for three-year terms.
Nomination papers must be obtained in person at the Town Clerk’s Office by the candidate or a designee of the candidate.
Today is the deadline for those who are interested in running for these races or others. The Town Clerk's Office will remain open until 5 p.m. for those who want to pull nomination papers.
A note or 'Declaration of Intent' with the candidate’s original signature is required to obtain nomination papers. You will find a Declaration of Intent form on the Elections Department section of the Town’s website www.town.swampscott.ma.us
