Mark Wahlberg Movie Ted Set For Release July 13
The movie remains in post-production according to an NBCUniversal spokesman.
Academy Awards night and Oscar acceptance speeches will get some local people thinking about Swampscott's shoulder brush with Hollywood in 2011.
Film crews were in town the first week in May shooting scenes for the movie Ted starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.
The movie remains in post production and scenes are not finalized, according to an NBCUniversal spokesman.
The movie is set for release July 13, he said.
Back in May film crews were shooting at 441 Atlantic Ave., a 10,000-square-foot, contemporary home on Preston Beach.
Scenes included a big party.
The story in the live action/computer-animated comedy has the Wahlberg character, John Bennett, as an adult, dealing with his teddy bear.
The teddy comes to life due to a wish Bennett made as a child.
The movie was written and directed by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. He also serves as the voice for Ted.
