It’s the Taj Majal of tents this sound stage.

In three weeks a Phillips Park corner has gone from a cleared field to a foundation of shipping containers to a high-rise, steel-frame tented building.

When complete the sound stage will be 45,000 square feet and 80 feet tall. It will allow the movie crew to film a night "wild party" scene during the day.

The tent will have black drapes to block out the sun and will include a pool and a facade of a house inside the tent, location manager Charlie Harrington told zoning board members.

The sound stage, which may be the first of its kind in the state, is targeted for completion in about three weeks.

Not a bad idea. Maybe they will just leave it behind!

LM & BB,
Its only a Hollywood facade.
All we'll be left with is the memories and our small stipend!

So cool to see...an opportunity to see something very out of the ordinary...I do wish before they take it down that they could have some type of organized viewing of the inside for the public. I would love to have a walk through.

You are not alone with that thought.
What a great opportunity for a worthwhile fundraiser.
I'd pony up $ 10 for a viewing.

Beside stars in the eyes, you could be left wtih a big mess of the grass on the field but then the group who want artificial turf will have their opportunity since the grass under that sound stage will be history!! NOT sure what is so entertaining about this movie being made, these people in the movie are just people, put their trousers on just like you do, have similar feelings etc so what is so special? Swampscott is a beautiful town, quaint and I am glad it is being seen with the movie being made there but goodness, this idol worship of Mr Sandler et al is way overboard. People seem to have way too much time on their hands standing around watching.
