The Big Blue's offense was clicking Saturday.

Especially its aerial attack which sizzled in hot conditions on a swampy field at Byfield.

Swampscott quarterback Brian Santry threw for 319 yards, connecting with five different receivers.

And the team's defense and special teams did their jobs, said Swampscott football coach Steve Dembowski.

"We played well and moved the ball often," he said.  "The defense and special teams gave us good field position and we took advantage of it to build a lead."

The team's performance was especially impressive considering 20 players arrived 20 minutes before kick-off due to SATs running late.

The victory improved the Blue's record to 2-3. They take on Malden on Saturday at Blocksidge Field at noon.

Malden lost their last game to Lynn English 35-12.

Coach Dembowski hopes his team can build off the Triton win and string a few wins together.
