Bail conditions for a Swampscott man accused of assaulting and stalking a Lynn woman require that he wear a GPS device to allow authorities to monitor his whereabouts.

Mark C. Sacco, 43, of 63 Pleasant St., was found to be a danger to his ex-girlfriend at a hearing Tuesday in Lynn District Court.

Judge Albert Conlon set bail at $100 and required that the defendant be fitted with the GPS tracking device at court before his release on bail.

A restraining order is in place prohibiting Sacco from contacting the victim.

He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing next month on assault, stalking and criminal threatening charges for threatening to kill the Lynn woman.

The man allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend of six months on her knees, repeatedly, with a 5-pound weight after she refused to go to his apartment, according to court documents filed by Lynn police.

The incident took place on Jan. 14, after the two had broken up and the woman had refused to go out with Sacco, the documents stated.

Later, on Jan. 18, he allegedly followed her in his car as she was driving home from Salem, and was yelling at her from his car window, the incident report stated.

Lynn police sought a warrant for Sacco's arrest and he was picked up at his residence by Swampscott police on Jan. 18, and later transferred to Lynn police.
