Gene Zhitomirsky Hired as Director of Property Management by The Caleb Group

Swam The Caleb Group is pleased to announce that Gene Zhitomirsky joined the nonprofit affordable housing organization as Director of Property Management on Monday, February 4.  Mr. Zhitomirsky will oversee the management of 19 affordable housing properties in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. 

With 13 years working in the housing industry Mr. Zhitomirsky has an extensive experience in all aspects of property management, including market rate, various state and federal subsidy programs, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, multi-site responsibilities, cooperative management, new construction, condominium management and rent ups.  “I am excited to join Caleb,” said Zhitomirsky.  “They are an organization that strives to make a positive impact on the community and they have an outstanding reputation in the housing industry.”

Prior to joining The Caleb Group Mr. Zhitomirsky worked at AIMCO, Winn Residential, Beacon Communities and Maloney Properties handling a diverse portfolio of properties.  Mr. Zhitomirsky is a Certified Occupancy Specialist and Tax Credit Specialist with the National Center for Housing Management and has received a C4P designation for Low Income Housing Tax Credits with Spectrum.

President and CEO of Caleb, Debbie Nutter says, “Caleb has grown in recent years and we anticipate further growth in the coming years. Mr. Zhitomirsky grew up in Swampscott where Caleb is headquartered and now lives in Salem MA.  His parents still live in Swampscott.  He will be based in the Swampscott office.
